Best, Worst Personals and Profiles: Tops or Bottoms or ... ?

Partly because of the common complaints from dominant women who use sites like CollarMe. Partly because of the batty comments left on some of my and other folks BDSM blogs. These things have led me to assume that the bulk of foolish behavior and bad communication in online BDSM profiles are the fault of submissive persons.

Or at least submissive men. Generally the best profiles I’ve seen have been written by submissive women. The latter seem more likely to write about their overall emotional needs. Guys seem to all too often focus on their sheer hunger or specialized fetishes. I wouldn’t fault the latter so much if it weren’t that their fixations tend to cause them to forget that they are addressing a human being.

But in my own very limited recent searching I’ve heard from tops that want to project their fantasies on me. Who - if they’ve actually read my profile - didn’t understand word of it. Who invite conversation; I sent my assent only to never hear from them again.

Because of limitations imposed by geography and other things I do not want to be especially persnickety. And my take on kink and fetish is about as flexible as it gets.

Anyway I’m no longer as confident as I once was that bottoms are to be blamed.
