Aftercare

» Safety

Do you - bottom or top - ever or always require aftercare at the end of an intense BDSM experience?

What elements are important to you for good aftercare?

  • Affection
  • Comfort food
  • Conversation / Debriefing
  • Orgasm
  • Physical contact
  • Add your own requirement

Do you exit the scene emotional space quickly or do you need a gradual return to whatever normality constitutes for you?

Have the aftercare skills and understanding of your partners been poor, fair, good or excellent?

I don’t need much aftercare. I don’t often go into a deep headspace, and I’m perfectly okay to drive. Usually, a fairly quiet environment is enough to keep me happy. If it’s at a public event though, I may retreat to a quieter area and relax. Sometimes I get the munchies after playing, so I try to plan for that too.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Aftercare. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
